A man from Australia who jumped past a barrier and grabbed Hollywood star Ariana Grande has been deported and barred from Singapore.

The man, 26, was handed a penalty to over a week in prison for causing a public disturbance and has now been "barred from re-entering Singapore," Singaporean immigration authorities told Singaporean press.

The man shoved beyond security and rushed toward the performer and artist, who was present at the Asian premier for the film on the thirteenth of November. Co-star Cynthia Erivo intervened to remove him from Grande.

He has a background of disrupting concerts and star-studded occasions, including leaping onto the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in the past June.

The occurrence provoked strong reactions in Singapore, with several individuals claiming he of causing further distress to the star.
