'Living a Nightmare': Families of Missing Teens Desperately Seek Answers After Ski Resort Inferno
The loved ones of young people missing after a devastating fire at a establishment in a Swiss ski resort are facing an agonising period of uncertainty for answers and appealing for information about their children publicly.
The blaze engulfed the a popular bar in the alpine resort, located in the Swiss Alps of the Valais region, in the early hours of the first day of the year. Verified images show the ceiling igniting as bottles with sparklers are raised in celebration.
Emergency services have indicated that it could take an extended period to formally name the fatalities of the fire, which claimed the lives of 40 people and wounded another scores more. Authorities noted on the latest update that the majority of the those hurt have been accounted for, with the process still underway to locate the remaining few.
In the meantime, families and friends have been taking to online platforms to request clues about their loved ones who were in attendance that fateful night.
Appeals for the Missing
The location of Swiss national Arthur Brodard, sixteen, are currently unknown, according to an heartfelt request from his mother.

Giovanni Tamburi, 16, is likewise unaccounted for. His mother said that he had been on holiday but had ventured out with a group and found himself at the venue.
"A companion told me they fled after the fire started and that he had his mobile with him, but then at a certain point he lost sight of him," she said, adding he had been wearing a distinctive piece of jewelry.
