FC Barcelona to Host First Match at Partially Completed Camp Nou this Saturday
The club confirmed they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome the Bilbao team in domestic competition two and a half years after they moved out to allow renovations to start.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available though over 45,000 attendees can be present under the licence granted. After final construction, the stadium’s capacity will reach over 104,000 attendees, up from the previous 99,000. Barça announced finished work included an updated entryway for the team along with upgraded changing facilities.
Recent Activities
The club conducted a public practice at the Camp Nou in early November. They mentioned they are seeking authorization from Uefa for their upcoming Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt in December in the renovated venue. They have been hosting matches at the Olympic Stadium.
