David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.
Prolific writer for children and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.
A representative for the company stated: "After careful consideration, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an investigation into reports of questionable actions towards young women.
The publisher declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."
A Highly Successful Publishing History
Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies globally in 55 languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
A number of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works combined, which features a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.
From Screen to Page
His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
